SENIOR TAX MANAGER 180K

My client is looking for a  Senior Manager to help lead and manage the tax staff currently residing in the New York office.  The Senior Manager would fill a research and critical issues support role with an emphasis on analyzing and solving international tax issues - corporate and individuals. There is an equal balance between client planning and compliance challenges to meet and you would be a key team leader in meeting those challenges.

Responsibilities include:
- Client relationship management including direct responsibility for specific clients and engagements.
- Supervise staff and deliverables.
- Development of new business with existing clients or clients new to the firm resulting in practice expansion
- Supervise, manage, develop, coach and mentor other professionals within the tax services team.
- Review of complex tax compliance solutions, and supervision of their implementation
-Co-author or review articles for publication a few times per year
- Legal research


Qualifications:

Qualifications include:
- Minimum of eight (8) years diversified public accounting experience, preferably with a Top 10 National firm or a large Regional firm, including tax compliance and tax consulting experience as relationship executive, business development and practice management
- A proven record of leading a team while demonstrating a strong affinity for being part of a larger team
- Demonstrated business development skills with a public accounting or tax consulting firm.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in accounting, finance or economics
- CPA, JD or LLM required

Tax Reviewer/ Tax Manager
We are a growing (20 person) mid-town NYC CPA Firm with a quality and diverse practice and are looking to hire, as part of our team, a CPA with a solid tax background. The firm was established in 1958 and has been servicing local, national and international clients since then. In this position, the individual will primarily have the responsibility of reviewing tax returns and should have 3+ years of reviewing tax returns, including individuals, partnerships and corporations. He/she should be detailed oriented and want to work as a team player. Other requirements will include tax research, when required. International taxation a plus. Position offers and excellent opportunity for advancement. Starting salary $ 90,000 - $ 120,000 and full benefit package.

The nationally respected tax team of my client, the top 30 CPA and Advisory firm, is seeking qualified and motivated individuals to join us as Tax Supervisor.
Working with a wide variety of prominent and highly successful clients, you'll be responsible for tax planning and review of individual, trust, foundation, partnership and corporate tax returns, including consolidated and multistate returns. As a tax supervisor you will also review federal and state quarterly estimated payments and assist with tax audits and light research projects. A polished demeanor and good communications skills are important as you will interact with clients, audit managers, and tax staff.
